Calming down

With all the excitment of the past few weeks, things are finally calming down. Daddy was in a good mood today. When I got there he was sitting with his back to the door and a volunteer was reading to the residents and doing mind puzzles with them. Needless to say, daddy was not interested. I came up behind him and hugged his neck. When I looked at him, he smiled real big, gave a laugh and said "There you are". I got a BIG hug and we spent the morning holding hands, walking (he was in his chair) and he talked and talked. I could only understand about half the words and the content did not make any sense, but I got to hear his beautiful voice, and I was happy.
The pictures were taken last month when Jared came for Ken's big 50th Birthday. I chose them because it shows how much daddy love to go outside for walks. There is a pond at the home that has ducks and he likes to go there. It is getting too hot to go out now, he gets hot very easy. The picture below looks sad. He wants to go outside, and doesn't understand that it is too hot. He does go out on the patios of the unit for some outside time, but it takes a while to walk over to the pond. I have some pictures of daddy by the garden that was planted by the residents that I will post tomorrow.
