I am trying to link up to facebook as a method of keeping everyone updated on daddy. I will post an album on facebook that will contain pictures that chart his progression. This past week was a sad one, I have cut my visits down to 2-3 times a week and he really seems to have progressed a lot. I will take pictures this next week.

Tuesday's visit - He was sitting in the common room, wide awake and staring into space. I came from behind and gave him a kiss on the cheek and got no response. It was not until I got within inches of his face that he acknowledged someone was there, but not response as to who I was. I began to sing our songs, told him I was his Winona Lynn, gave him a kiss and he began to smile. The rest of our visit was quiet, but he did hold my hand all through lunch. He ate well today at lunch but Ethelyn called to say he did not eat hardly any dinner ---- no problem since he has gained so much weight since he went in. He has lost 3 of the pounds he gained, but we are not worried.

Wednesday's visit - He was a mess today, his hair was all messed up, clothes untidy - a sure sign that his breakfast, bath, and morning was not smooth. He refused to eat in the dining room so we went to a side room and ate with good ole gospel music playing in the background. I sang to him before the meal arrived and he smiled and hummed some of the hymns. He seemed to calm down and ate well. He even "talked" during the meal, I sure wish I could understand his words. He laughed and I laughed with him. After the meal, one of the wives put on some Fats Domino and began dancing with her husband and I couldn't resist. I took daddy by the hands and "danced" with him. We hugged a lot, laughed alot and I think I wore him out. After a few monents, he took me by the hand and we walked around the wing. As we got close to the nurses station he looked up at me, laughed and gave kissing noises with his mouth. I kissed him and told him I love him and he said "See ya later". I guess he was ready for me to go ----

Ethelyn called to say she would be there Friday for lunch so I missed my "Friday with Daddy" this week. I will go down there either Sunday or Monday to check on him.
